And this year’s Diamond STEP Award goes to MK Marlow Company! Ronald Pentecost, MK Marlow’s Corporate Safety Director accepted the 2022 Diamond STEP award at the ABC Central Texas Excellence in Construction gala held in Austin, Texas. For more than three decades, STEP has been a safety benchmarking and improvement tool and has evolved into a world-class safety management system. To be considered for this annual award, each year MK Marlow provides information on safety processes on a detailed application. The overall goal is to implement and enhance safety programs that reduce jobsite incidents.
At MK Marlow, all of our foremen receive the following training:
- OSHA 30 hour with some having OSHA 500 and OSHA 510
- Competent persons in the following: fall protection and scaffolding
- Certifications in the following: CPR, first aid, blood borne pathogens, aerial lifts, scissor lifts, powered industrial trucks, powder actuated tools
- General safety training in the following: GHS, HAZCOM & SDS, ladders, rigging, hand signals, stilts, material handling, silica, PPE, back and lifting safety, and electrical and arc flash
