MK Marlow was not only the Judge sponsor for the ABC Central Texas Tailgate BBQ and Chili Cook-Off, but we took home FIRST PLACE in Beans and SECOND PLACE in Desserts! The winning masterpiece was a slice of angel food cake with grilled peaches, cinnamon and a fresh blackberry-maple syrup-mint & lime compote all topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with a pecan shortbread cookie. It was the perfect combination of crunchy and salty/savory!
Overall, the day was a hit with our families. From tasty BBQ to spicy chili, there was plenty for our taste buds. The kiddie construction corner was a hit as was the rock climbing, archery, zip-lining and playground. We’ll be back next year for sure! Thanks ABC Central Texas for a great day!
