Education Service Center, Region 2
MK Marlow is providing the interior and exterior framing, gypsum wall assemblies and ceilings for the remodel of the Education Service Center, Region 2 in Corpus Christi, Texas. One challenge we have overcome with this project is once the EFIS was removed on one side of the exterior, a number of concrete panels were exposed that prevented the wall fascia from being straight. In order to meet the design team’s expectations, MK Marlow had to accommodate different sizes of metal studs to give the wall a smooth, straight finish. Since it was almost impossible to see a laser beam in daylight, strings were used to keep everything level.
